The art museum in Denver is renowned for the collection of American Indian Art. The total collection amounts to more than 55,000 pieces. The Denver Art Museum was established in 1893 as the Denver Artists Club. Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art:

The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art aims at presenting the important art works of our time to the public.

The museum aims at developing cultural interest through ground breaking programs organized on regional, national and international art. Through these programs the museum inspires and educates the Boulder community. The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art was opened in 1972, in order to showcase and promote visual arts in boulder. The museum provides local and regional artists with a venue to showcase their art.

Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center:

The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center is situated north of downtown Colorado Springs. The Fine Arts Center is housed in the Taylor Museum. The fine arts center was established in 1936. The center was founded by Alice Bemis Taylor. The Fine Arts center of Colorado Springs includes a main gallery that has many Spanish Colonial and Native American art works which is part of the permanent collection. There is a performing arts department whish has a Repertory Theater Company and a school of art known as the Bemis School of Art offering art education.

The Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art is located in Denver, Colorado. The museum has three main collections:
The Nationally Important Decorative Arts Collection: this collection consists of Arts & Crafts of the decorative arts movement, Art Noveau, Art Deco and Modern & Pop Art objects. This collection focuses on the art from 1880 to 1975.

Colorado Modernist Collection: contains the works of more than 170 artists. This collection also concentrates mostly on the works produced in between 1880 to 1975.

Vance Kirkland Retrospective works: this collection is composed entirely of works of local artist Vance Kirkland.
