The Museum of Bad Art is located in Dedham, Massachusetts, U.S.A. It is a private museum entirely filled with collections of poorly made examples of naïve arts in forms of painting and sculpture. The Museum of Bad Art was founded in 1993 and in 1995 the display space of the museum was shifted to the basement of Dedham Community theater from a private home. Total collection of museum is somewhere between two hundred and fifty pieces out of which only twenty five are on display at any moment of time. The museum with a motto that art is too bad to be ignored focuses on some extremely bad artworks, paintings or sculptures.

According to the director of the museum Jerry Reilly, the museum’s collection of paintings and sculptures are as such that they are from such people who do not have any art sense. The museum has its motto is that ‘art too bad to be ignored’. All the humorous presentations have little descriptions with them and that makes them more frolic. Like the painting of Peter the Kitty is given a description “stirring in its portrayal of feeling angst”. The most famous collection of The Museum of Bad Art is ‘Lucy in the field with flowers’; it is so famous that it is recognized as Mona Lisa of Museum of Bad Art. The museum has its old tradition of appreciation of the humorous work patterns at Museum of Bad Art. The museum itself has inspired several related projects such as the Ohio Bad Art Guild, an online art only gallery that has since ceased operating.
