The Portland Art Museum:

The Portland Art Museum is one of the oldest museums in the Pacific Northwest. It was established around the end of 1892. The permanent collection at the Portland museum of art contains more than 32,000 art works. At any given time, the museum hosts at least one major traveling exhibition. The Portland Art Museum includes a Center for Native American Art, permanent exhibitions featuring Asian Art, a Center for Northwest Art, a Center for Modern and contemporary Art and an outdoor sculpture garden, open to public.

The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art:

The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art is a part of the University of Oregon's art museum. The museum was opened in 1932. The museum was built to store the Murray Warner collection of Oriental Art. The collection consists of more than 3,000 works of art donated by Gertrude Bass Warner to the University of Oregon. The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art has collection galleries displaying arts of America, Europe, Korea, China and Japan. The museum has free admission and is fully accessible to disabled people. The mission of the museum is to bridge the gap between international cultures through art and provide artistic education that will strengthen the appreciation and understanding of human experience.

The Coos Art Museum:

The Coos Art Museum has been the center of cultural activities in Oregon since 1950. The Coos Art Museum is housed in the Art Deco building of Coos bay's former US Postal Office. The mission of the Coos Art Museum is to enrich the lives of the citizens through appreciation and understanding of visual arts, by the museum's collections, exhibitions and educational programs.

The Non-Profit Art Museums in Oregon provide spaces for exhibitions of contemporary as well as traditional art. Apart from visual arts, a lot of the museums have facilities for music, performance art, other arts and art education.
