The Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art popularly called as Weisman Art Museum is located in Minnesota University campus on the eastern bank of the Mississippi river. The present museum building was designed by famous architect Frank Gehry. The total construction was completed in 1993. The museum proudly stands on the campus as one of the few buildings made of red brick and sandstone near the Northrop Mall. The building looks magnificent to the pedestrians. The museum offers excellent educational and friendly experience to the visitors.
The museum has extensive collections. The collections feature early 20th century American artists like Georgia O’ Keeffee and Marsden Hartley and diverse contemporary art selections. The museum currently holds a permanent collection above 17,000 objects.

In the exhibition, only some selected local artist’s works from the Frederick R.Weisman were displayed. Local population criticizes the radical architecture style of the building by saying that the building is designed in such a way that it continuously reflects the sunlight into the eyes of the passing motorists on the bridge.
