Yale Art Gallery

The Gallery was first begun in 1953. In fact, the background of the Yale Art Gallery is quite interesting and exciting. From 1832-1901, the art gallery was housed in the building called Trumbull. In around 1928, it was moved to the building known as Swartwout. Later in 1953, the building was actually constructed and was known as Gallery’s Louis Kahn building. This building was refurbished in the year 2003.
