Cartoon Net also called as CN or cartoon network is a television network broadcast on cable TV primarily broadcasts different animated programming. Cartoon net is an original cable television network that features animated since its first day of broadcast i.e., 1st October 1992. The Looney Tunes was the first program to be telecast on cartoon net. Since all these years the cartoon net has featured many animated programs such as The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Laboratory, and Ed, Edd, n' Eddy.
History of Cartoon Net:
Cartoon net as an outlet was created by Ted Turner's cable TV animation section. In the 1980's one MGM film library was acquired by Ted Turner's cable TV. In the year 1990 the cartoon net took over animation studio, large library portion of Hanna Hanna-Barbera Productions and it also acquired an extensive area of Ruby-Spears library. The initial programs to be featured on cartoon net were like The Flintstones, The Jetsons, and many other TV cartoons produced by Hanna-Barbera productions one was like Wally Gator. Initially these cartoon shows were broadcast as 30 minutes shows to one hour long shows. The initial shows to be broadcast on cartoon net included Down with Droopy D that featured old Droopy Dog shorts, the Tom and Jerry Show which became popular for featuring the old cat-and-mouse program.
Present Scenario of Cartoon Net:
Cartoon net since the day of its inception has developed a lot. At present the cartoon net features the Tom and Jerry classic show. The classic appearance of the cartoon net has enormously changed even its old slogan was changed in 2006 by "Cartoon Network - Yes!" since its inception the cartoon net has broadcast many hit programs basically all cartoon shows. The modern cartoon net features three different hits The first style is "Lunchbox of Doom", the second is "VS.", and the last one was repeat of the CGI City where look, using flat, dark colors. Most of the cartoon net shows are dedicated to children but one program titled as Adult Swim is also featured late night.
