Contemporary fine art



Contemporary fine art is one of the most popular forms of art in modern times. Art produced now and after the World War II are known as contemporary art. Any art form which is produced for aesthetics is known as fine art. This art type is expressed in various performing and visual art forms like painting, dance, printmaking, architecture, theatre and sculpture.

You can see contemporary fine art being exhibited in contemporary art galleries or by publicly funded arts organizations, private collectors, artists, contemporary art museums or corporations. Contemporary artists are supported by sales of their work, grants, awards and prizes.

Contemporary fine art is a visual art and is produced by various instruments. These include pen and ink, crayons, pastels, wax color pencils, inked brushes, stylus, charcoals, chalk, markers, graphite pencils and metals like silverpoint.

In contemporary fine art, there are various drawing subcategories which include cartooning. In comics, images are used to convey a story. Worldwide there are various contemporary art prizes. Some of the well known international contemporary art prizes are Emerging Artist Award awarded by The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, Marcel Duchamp Prize awarded by ADIAF and Centre Pompidou and Hugo Boss Prize awarded by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
