Alev Oguz is a modern-day painter who currently stays at Istanbul, Turkey. She has been interested in painting since her childhood days, however she never thought of taking up as a profession. From 2001, her paintings represent the joy of living. For her painting is meditation, there is no regrets, no shame and fear while she is painting. Her soul becomes free and transparent whenever she is painting. Though Alev Oguz mainly does oil paintings, she also does paintings with charcoal, pencil, mixed media and with printmaking linoleum.
The main subjects of the paintings of Alev Oguz are children, undecided, landscape, figurative, portrait, still life and fantasy. She uses very bright colors in her paintings. She has participated in many solo as well as group exhibitions at various places. Alev Oguz has also written many blogs and articles for various publications and magazines.
