Darla Fisher Odjig is a present-day artist who lives in Sault Stephen Marie, Ontario. She is a native Canadian Aboriginal Fine artist. Her paintings depict a seriolistic, abstract, North American native theme. The ink and acrylic paintings of Darla Fisher Odjig include legend and folklore. Her images are mainly derived from the struggles and pains she went through in her childhood. Her ideals are a derivative from her life as a trauma survivor, the emergence of the child within her and its battles.
