Aviva Beigel has done B.A. in History of Art from Tel Aviv University. She has attended many art workshops at Helena Rubinstein Pavilion of Art, Tel Aviv and also studied about art therapy. She is an active member of various associations. Her study of Medieval Art has enlightened her about the richness and colorful mosaics that were used in the Early Byzantine Art. Aviva Beigel has learned to make free and wild combinations from the famous 20 th century Spanish artist Antonio Gaudi. She firmly believes in the Gestalt theory in which “ The whole is more than it's parts ”. Most of her artworks are based on this principle as she combines many fragments together and the final consequence creates a different result or “whole”. Her Cookies are ceramic hand painted cookies which comes in different shapes and colors. She combines them in various shapes like stars, hearts, butterflies and others and then makes the mosaic works. Her study of human nature is the basis of her series of work titled Metamorphosis.
Aviva Beigel has participated in several group exhibitions at Spain, USA, Denmark, France, Israel and others. She also has exhibited her work in many solo exhibitions. Her works and speeches have been published in various articles. The Broadway Gallery in New York has a huge collection of her works. Some of her well-known mosaic work includes Vases, The Way to Build a Wall, The Minaret, Countryside and others.
