Oil painting is done on pigmented surfaces that are ground and mixed into a medium of oil. This form of painting has been practiced by artists since ancient times. Boris Yeghiazaryan is one the contemporary oil painters who presently lives in Ukraine. Boris Yeghiazaryan was born in a village of Armenia. He studied about painting from the Yerevan Art College and later graduated from the Kyiv Art Academy. The surface of his paintings reminds one of antique enamel. The specks, purest-crystal and the dissemination of colors resemble that of the Echmiadzin Gospels. Boris Yeghiazaryan is very passionate about painting and does the work impulsively with the help of brushes, palette-knife or at times even hands.
He is amazingly vivid. Most of the paintings of Boris Yeghiazaryan are very childish and transient. It seems that he is ignorant about the result of his paintings and that's the reason, if you see any one of his paintings it seems as if it is placed into a historical vortex. He paints a soul as if it is a mortal being. Almost all the paintings of Boris Yeghiazaryan have the same symbols of a mother, child, father, pomegranate, fish, bird and an ark. The motifs are permanently repeated still no one ever gets bored. He seems to be absolutely in love with the symbols that are created by his hands.
