David Eichenberg



Oil paints have been used for painting since ancient times. They can be used to create matte or gloss effect and have been used in many innovative ways. David Eichenberg is one of the contemporary oil painters who presently lives in Tohedo, Ohio

David Eichenberg was born in Tohedo, Ohio. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Toledo, Ohio. He wants his works to break new grounds not only in comparison to his other works but he wants to change the entire perception of art. David Eichenberg explores new directions and horizons with his works at regular intervals. He mainly deals with the issues of humanity, politics and science. He wants the viewer to explore the meanings and possibilities of his works with their own imagination. David Eichenberg also does encaustic works i.e. paintings made using wax on paper.



David Eichenberg has participated in solo and group exhibitions at several universities, galleries and art shows of Blissfield, Sylvania, Cape Girardeau, Michigan, Elmor and Toledo. His works have been published in the magazine Who's Who in America . David Eichenberg has worked on commission for the Toledo Museum of Art, Corpus Christi Church of Toledo, Toledo Memorial Park and in conjunction with artists like Tom Lingeman and Olander Park. Some of the famous works of David Eichenberg include Portrait of Steph, One Pound of Flesh, Stephanie II, History Repeated, Divine Bananas, Cottage, Pearl's Dream, Self-Portrait in Red Scarf, Wonka World, Hawthorne Effect and Magdalen among many others. Some of his well-known encaustic works are Weeds I, Rolling Landscape I, Wave II and Landscape II. David Eichenberg also makes bronze sculptures and some of them are Reflection, Stranded, Shift, Shifting Sentinel, Stride, Ignored, Tectonic Shift, Babble, Brother, Home and Figure Study I among many others. His works are displayed at the Hudson Gallery and Peggy Grant in Toledo, Ohio.
