Leonara Egutkina

Acrylic paintings gained popularity from the mid-20 th century onwards. Acrylic paints dry up very fast and become water-resistant after they dry. Many artists have used this medium of painting for self-expression. Leonora Egutkina is one such modern painter who does acrylic paintings. She presently lives and works in San Francisco Bay Area.

Leonora Egutkina was born and brought up in the former Soviet Union. She received a very traditional academic education in art. Later on, she moved on to study about architecture, art and design at Moscow Architectural University. She explored art beyond social realism. In 1992, she again returned back to complete her education.



Leonora Egutkina graduated from the Moscow Industrial Art University with Masters Degree in Art and Design. Thereafter she started working as an Interior Designer and continued to paint. She mainly does paintings on canvas and paper. Leonora Egutkina mainly does abstract works and uses very rich and bold colors in her paintings.

Leonora Egutkina has participated in various solo and group exhibitions at various galleries of California and United Kingdom. Her work has also been auctioned twice at Bonhams & Butterfields Art Auction in San Francisco, California. Leonora Egutkina has won awards and honors for her works.
