Lucia Babjakova was born in Slovakia . Afterward, Babjakova was moved to Czech Republic as a child. After completing her training in art as a young woman she decided not to go the Academy route. Lucia Babjakova spent a great time by traveling in the USA as a teenager. In this period she learnt four languages fluently and now she is studying aesthetics and languages at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic.

Lucia Babjakova is a natural colorist who creates a bridge between abstract and figurative art by the use of strong primary color. Lucia Babjakova creates her paintings with expressionistic energy. You can find her art works never intentionally unclear and always convincing. Her work refuses stylistic stereotyping with its restless energy and unrestrained approach to experimentation. Lucia Babjakova has never followed a conventional route to being a professional artist.
