Marshall Elliott

Marshall Elliott feels that the great lizards can become the marked wall piece—it can be used to decorate walls in the form of paintings or different artworks. His artwork is based on abstract themes and ideas. You will be surprised to look at the various paintings of Marshall Elliott.

The works of Elliott are example of ‘mixed media'. Mixed media refers to creation of any artwork or graphics more than single media has been used. A work on canvas or paper that includes collage work, paint, color and ink can be termed as mixed media creation. Indeed, the history of mixed media dates back to the time of Pablo Picasso Georges Braque i.e. around 1912.

Elliott has been working for years to bring to limelight his various collections of work. Indeed, for mixed media art, selection of layers and sturdy canvas is very important. Generally, for mixed media creation, different objects that are found naturally are highly used in consortium with other things like paint and ink. Similarly, Elliott also highly uses objects that he found like thread. In fact, the idea behind using such objects is to suggest the usage of the common things in life. A few of his popular work include:

Taut

This is an abstract painting done by Marshall in the year 2001. The painting is 22 inches high, 36 inches wide and single inch deep. The artist has used mixed media for the creation of this image.

Ceremonial

This is yet another finest piece of abstract art that is created in 2001. This 34 inches high image is influenced from the Chiropractic college dinner function. This work uses shish-ke-bob skewers, industrial mold from industrial garbage.

Medusa

Created in 2001 again, this piece of artwork by Marshall is a masterpiece. This is an assemblage of natural things and hence is an awesome work of mixed media. Charred chisel rope is used with painted industrial mold.
