Mikhail Evstafiev is a Russia born artist, writer and photographer. Born in the year 1963 in an artistically oriented family, he began showing interest in painting and photography from a very early age. His ancestors who were all reputed Russian sculptors encouraged and inspired him to develop a unique style in his art form. He is a painter of nature, modern and abstract themes
Mikhail Evstafiev who graduated from the Moscow State University with a Masters in international Journalism voluntary served in war-afflicted Afghanistan. A reporter, writer and photographer par excellence, he is first and foremost a Nature lover. He is very much close to rustic life and its natural beauty. His painting showcases village and country life which are evident from the theme and subject chose for his fine works of art. Some of his oil paintings are:

As a fine art painter, he has a different style in portraying his images. He is fascinated with nature and its reality but when he sketches it on to the canvas he does not present it in toto. He distorts the canvas by scratching and plays with myriad of colors, shapes and forms, thereby giving a new interpretation to the image. His aim is to reveal to us the inherent beauty of the layers lying underneath an image. He strives to achieve the utmost emotional effect through his work.
One of his paintings titled, The Sky Over The City Where We Were Happy shows that he is an emotional painter. His feelings and sentiments find expression in his canvas. Some of his most recent works are titled City Feelings, Stormy Sea, Red Roofs, Turquoise Window, Waiting for the Snow, Brittany Houses and Village with Straw Huts.
