Patrick Egarter

Acrylic paintings are done with fast-drying acrylic paints. They can be diluted with water but they become water-resistant after they dry up. These paints were first commercially available from the 1950s and since then have been used by many painters. Patrick Egarter is one of the present-day exponents of acrylic painting.. He currently lives at Bruneck, Italy.

Patrick Egarter was born at Bruneck, South Tirol in Italy. Patrick Egarter has done a yearly course of graphic and design from Bozen and then he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, Bologna. He first makes acrylic paintings on canvas and then with the help of digital graphics he transforms them to painted pixels. This process is termed as Analogical Digitization. In this process, the brain digitizes the painting and analogical is the method of presentation, where each pixel is equal to the square on the canvas. Patrick Egarter uses this technique and transforms his paintings to pixel form.

The main subjects of his paintings are nude female figures and he tries to explore them in various forms and angles. He generally uses very sober shades in his paintings.

Patrick Egarter has participated at various solo and group exhibitions at Bologna, Bruneck, Brixen, Mailand and Treviso. Some of the renowned acrylic paintings of Patrick Egarter include Gala Dreams About Magritte, Impression, Impression Landscape, Nude M.B, Nude L.P, Modigliani 90, Nude K.C.1, Eagle of Ede Egarter, Three Peaks of Lavaredo, Nostalgia, Nude K.C. 3, Modigliani: Color of Seurat, African Composition and Four Demoiselles, Still Life Covered among many others. There are many virtual galleries where one can browse through the works of Patrick Egarter.
