Rick Borgia

Painting is a fascinating activity that has attracted men down the ages and as a result great painters are born . Rick Borgia is a contemporary painter who was born at Camp Atterbury, Indiana. He presently lives in Columbus, Ohio. He does paintings with charcoal, pencil, acrylic, other, drawing marker, printmaking, pen and various other mediums.

Rick Borgia has been drawing, painting, designing and conceptualizing ever since his childhood. He is also interested in playing guitar and performing and composing music from a very young age. According to Rick Borgia himself, ‘he is a conceptual artist who works in a medium that drifts by him'. He is an artist and musician who is interested about knowing “how and why”. Rick Borgia is more of an experimental artist. The main subjects of his work include abstract, abstract figurative, life, mythology, nudes, figurative, culture, healing, animals, visionary and others. He mostly uses lighter shades in his paintings though at times he uses bright colors as well.

Rick Borgia is also the founder member of his band named Spanda . The main aim of forming this band was to establish a creative means to share music in the genre of kirtan devotional chant. The band aims to fuse pop, jazz, ambient and trance together in their music. They have performed live with their music in various countries and CDs of their music are available in the market as well.
