Ronaldo Encarnacion is a Cuban artist who lives in the capital city of Havana. He specializes in abstract art. Abstract art does not portray objects in the natural state but instead uses color and form in a non-representational way. The real forms are simplified and shown in a reduced state, keeping only an illusion of the depicted objects.
Ronaldo Encarnacion was born in 1973 on 21 st August. In 1988 Ronaldo Encarnacion joined the Vocational School of Art. After passing out from the Vocational School of Art, Ronaldo Encarnacion joined the National School of Fine Arts in Havana City in 1992. From 1994 to 1998 Ronaldo Encarnacion was a professor of Painting and Drawing of the Professional School of Fine Arts in Pinar del Rio, Cuba.
The paintings of Ronaldo Encarnacion use bright and strong colors with the predominance of blue. Most of the works of Ronaldo Encarnacion are painted using oil colors but some of them are acrylic paintings too. Ronaldo Encarnacion uses metaphors of his soul and translates them into works of art. His brushes and his mind are mere tools that help him to achieve his desires while working.
Ronaldo Encarnacion has held many solo exhibitions. They have been held in Havana, Abstracta, Artespacio Gallery, Bogota DC, Colombia (2006), Numem. Serigrafic Workshop, Havana City, Cuba(2006), Telepinar Gallery, Pinar del Rio, Cuba( 2005), Guayasam Museum, Havana City, Cuba(2004) and Club Fundation, Havana City, Cuba. His recent artwork, Omma is displayed at the Center of Contemporary Art, in Crete, Greece.
The collective exhibitions of Ronaldo Encarnacion have been held in numerous places. They include the International Art Fair in Bogota DC, Colombia, the La Acacia gallery, Havana City, Cuba, Music Museum, Havana City, Cuba, Latin festival and of the Cuban Culture, Montova, Italy. Ronaldo Encarnacion has won awards from the Fine Arts Salon, Municipal salon and the Fine Arts Center of Cuba. His works form parts of private collections all over the world.
