Chalkboard Paint

A Chalkboard means generally a smooth or hard panel meant for writing purposes. Chalkboard paint means specially designed and painted chalkboards which are hung up in places where there is a chance of kids scribbling on the walls. This does not harm the walls and at the same time allows the child to be on his own.

History of Chalkboards

Chalkboards originated during the early decades of the 19 th century. Most chalkboards in the recent times are made of porcelain enamel. Chalkboards are made in a variety of styles, sizes and colors. The most common colors are black, green, brown, grey and blue. The chalkboards can even be customized according to the requirements of the customer. Chalks and markers are used to write on these surfaces. The chalk marks on the boards can easily be wiped off with a duster or wet cloth.

The chalkboard paint can be applied on wood, metal, glass, plastic, paperboard and hardboard.
