Paint.Net is a photo editing software that runs on Windows. It is used for image and photo manipulation. Paint.Net has a number of useful and interesting tools that enable one to create several special effects.
This photo editing software was developed at the Washington State University. It was mentored by Microsoft. The main designers of Paint.Net are Rick Brewster and Tom Jackson. The software is available for free download on the internet.

Paint.Net has the simple drawing tools including the very useful curve tool. It also has the Magic Wand tool for selecting regions of similar color as well as the Clone Stamp tool. In addition, Paint.Net boasts of text editing, zoom and recoloring tools.
Other editing features include blurring, sharpening, red-eye removal, distortion, and embossing tools. Moreover, there is a 3D Rotate and Zoom effect tool.
The software also allows you to adjust an image’s brightness, contrast, hue and saturation.
