Various groups and individuals have prompted massive changes in painting, its execution and articulation, themes and expression. Artists have sometimes consciously subscribed and adopted these painting styles, or at times, critics have associated artists with specific painting styles. In this section, we would be looking at some of the most popular painting styles that have affected the development of painting.
