Framed posters are the poster types that are stored in a container added to a poster in order to enhance the picture more vibrantly. Framed posters are also used for easy display of pictures and sometimes even to protect the picture from any outer damage.
Poster Frame Construction:
The frames of posters are originally made of soft to hard wood some other materials like aluminum or polystyrene are also used for making frames. Posters are framed of any color or texture. Some framed posters are elaborate frame designs relating to the subject of the poster. Framed posters contain a glass pane or Plexiglas for protecting the picture. The expensive posters when framed under glass are raised off the surface of the paper. Often posters which are considered as highly expensive or decorative are framed with nice backgrounds.
Frame Styles:
"L"-style frames are the most common frame styles that are constructed with a single L-shaped wooden border. Framed posters in Photo Cube style is another style of framing. Other styles include clip frames, box frames and shadow boxes. The 21st century technology applied on the digital photo frame is a bright example of the improved modern framing style.
Frieze Frame:
Frieze Frame is the famous mural designed framed poster style. The name originated after Roger Hayes of Liverpool, England. Frieze frame design is a printed lithographic designed frame. The mural print designed frames are done on a 115 gram MG (machine glazed) poster paper which is finished with a waterproof seal. The first Frieze Frame design was created in 1990 based on the railway theme. It was created by Roger.
