This Indian folk painting, famous as Patachitra, illustrates a scene from a village. People following different trades are shown in this work of art. The ware sellers, soldiers, metal smiths, musicians, dancers and others are seen following their daily work schedule.
At the bottom panels the view of the country road with an entourage, a vehicle, a bullock cart and a marching elephant is beautifully illustrated. The handmade painting on cloth also carries the images of animals like peacock, birds, snakes, and other wild animals. The painting is in natural colors of red, yellow, green and black is apt to decorate the walls of the home and office.
