The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale is a college of Applied Arts. It is one of the 32 Art Institutes accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.
Introduction to Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale:
The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale (AiFL) was founded in the September of 1968. It was constructed near the Gold Coast of Florida. In its early stages, the students had only two fields of study available to them; Advertising Design and Photography. The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale also had diploma programs in Commercial Art, Interior Design and Fashion Illustration. In April 1971 the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale was accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Trade and Technical Schools of the Career College Association. In 1979 the college was recognized as a two year degree granting institution in the Florida State and was authorized to award Associate of Science degrees by the State Board of Independent Colleges and Universities. In 2006 the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale received the Council for Interior Design Accreditation for its Bachelor of Science in Interior Design degree program.

The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Advertising, Culinary Management, Digital Film making & Video Production, Fashion design, Fashion Merchandising, Game Art & Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Industrial Design, Interactive Media Design, Interior Design, Media Arts and Animation, Visual effects & Motion Graphics and Yacht and Marine Design. Associate of Science programs are offered in Animation Art 7 Design, Broadcasting, Culinary Arts, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Interactive media Design, Photography and Video Production. Diploma programs are available in Art of Cooking, Graphic & Desktop Design, Residential Design and Applied Photography.
