University of the Arts, London

University of the Arts, London is a federal university which has 6 colleges under it. It is Europe’s biggest and premier institution for education in art communication and design.

The University of the Arts also owns the Cochrane Theatre in Holborn. The Reverend of this University is Sir Michael Bichard. It was previously known as The London Institute but then it changed its name after being awarded the university status in 2004. The Wimbledon College of Art has recently become a part of the University of the Arts.

The six colleges under the University of the Arts are:
  • Camberwell College of Arts
  • Central Saint Martins College
    of Art and Design
  • Chelsea College of Art and Design
  • London College of Communication
  • London College of Fashion
  • Wimbledon College of Art
There are various courses which are offered under the six colleges which include acting and directing, ceramics, arts management, design, digital arts, fashion management, fashion promotion, floristry, photography, public relations, sculpture, travel and tourism, journalism, jewelry, graphic design and interactive multimedia as well as several others. The University of the Arts offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees. Professional diplomas, certificates and short courses are conducted on various subjects.
